Hotel & resort role examples

These typical duties and skills offer a starting point for discussing your sourcing strengths. They are not live vacancies or confirmed Hiring Avenue demand, and are not universal entry requirements. Hospitality is one example within our wider sector scope.

  • Front office & guest services

Clear guest communication, accurate reservation and account records, and confidence using booking systems. Typical work includes welcoming guests, handling arrivals and departures, answering questions and referring complaints to the right colleague.

  • Housekeeping

Careful room and public-area cleaning, replenishing linen and supplies, and following property-care procedures. Typical work includes keeping cleaning equipment organised, reporting damage and found items, and coordinating room readiness with colleagues.

  • Food & beverage service

Attentive service, accurate order-taking and clear communication with kitchen colleagues. Typical work includes serving food and drinks, preparing tables or service stations, processing payments where assigned, and keeping service areas clean.

  • Kitchen & cooking

Food preparation suited to the assigned station, following recipes, and safe food handling and storage. Typical work includes checking ingredients, cooking and presenting dishes, cleaning equipment and working under the kitchen’s direction.

  • Property maintenance

Practical fault-finding, appropriate tool use and accurate maintenance records. Typical work includes routine inspections, preventive upkeep and minor repairs, with specialist or regulated work referred to appropriately qualified people.

Before sourcing begins: the employer must confirm the actual role, experience, language needs, working conditions and employment terms in an approved brief. The employer makes the final selection.

Before working together

Agree the basics.

We would discuss your recruitment licence, sourcing markets and ability to meet the criteria, along with authorised handling of candidate information, responsibilities and business terms.

An enquiry starts a conversation. It does not confirm a partnership, allocate requirements or grant portal access.
